Sorry - I was a bit too brief!

Moving to Singapore, haven't yet found a cricket club to join, but wondering what type of pitch is more common in Singapore in general.

Spikes.

Most participate in cricket here by watching it on the tube. Course there the Singapore Cricket Club but that can get expensive. I think maybe there is still a field at the Ceylon Club but I'm not sure. Maybe if you post this in the
MBA - Members Of Bhartiya Association sub-forum you would get a better response.

Depends on which Division you will play in the league. Players in lower division (2-4) play on Astro pitches. Then you will have to wear those with rubber studs. Weather in Singapore is highly unpredictable. Grounds tend to get a bit muddy often. Gotta have rubber studs in them

Players in Div 1 get to play on turf wickets. Then again, only about 4-5 grounds in Singapore got turf wickets. So sometimes you will still play on astro pitches even though you are in Div 1

So yeah, Astro pitches are more common. Wouldnt hurt to pack the boots with rubber studs.
