A problem with My Nokia 6110 Navigator Phone

Post by mahmoudshadid » Sun, 14 Sep 2008 12:23 pm

I have been using my phone for about 7 months now, but lately it started giving me this error when I send an SMS "Sending Failed, Not enough memory, close some applications and try again "

given that I have around 150 MB of free memory
and no other applications are running

I tried doing a master reset, and it worked for a while then I got the same error message in a few days time

can anyone Help

Don't know anything about Symbian Systems as I use Win Mobile OS's but is it a possibility that when you close a program it is actually running in the background? Can you go to settings to see how many programs are running at a given time? WinMobile 5.0 on my dopod 900 does not actually close ANY program when you close it, it just leaves it preloaded like a normal PC that preloads portions of MS programs when starting up. When I added Skype to my dopod I had to manually go to the settings and close all the other programs and it would do the same thing.

sms

Yes i remember the same with the Dopod 900 too.

Easiest way to check is just power off the phone ( rather than a system reset) When you power back on does it then work ?? IF yes then it's probably suffering from too many apps running at the same time.

Good luck

How long are your lists of saved sent and received SMS'es? My E65 holds a ton of them but begins to run very slowly after a while if I don't delete a bunch of them and get saved messages down to a couple of hundred.
