I'm sorry but I had to log in and post my first message on this great forum to say that this man ain't speaking French at all !

Je parleS <<--- with a S ? Where did you learn to speak French?
In addition to that, "je parles la langue" is not French at all, in its meaning.

The correction would be : "Je parle français" or "Je parle cette langue" or "Je parle la langue française" :-)

Sorry, I don't wanna give a bad idea of French people, but it's just that this guy is pretending to speak French and he DOES NOT for sure. Trust the French that I am :-) and don't pay for such bad French ladies and gentlemen.

The best way to learn a language : movies and music...later on, literature.
Movies with french or eng subtitles is a good start for beginners / intermediate. If you got any question, ask me ;-)

Yeah, that website is indeed gd considering that it's a free online site for people to pick up a foreign language! But I need someone to guide me in the pronunciation and probably the grammar.

Haha... Now that you (afrenchmaninsingapore) mention! There's really some error in his French. Anyway, I have tried to pick up French by myself but I am having trouble with the pronunciation like I mentioned earlier. Yeah, movies are a good way to pick up a new language but it might be inadequate. Besides, I need to acquire a basic knowledge of French (written and spoken) in 2 1/2 months so learning through movies might be too slow. This is because I'll be going for student exchange in Canada where I would have to learn a "Basic French 1" module which is not for beginners... Btw, do you know where I can find French movies? I think they might aid in my learning of French despite it being inadequate. Thanks!! :D

You can rent movies at "Alliance Française" (and if you want to buy you can go to Carrefour, they always have some).
Or you can subscribe to TV5 which is available on StarHub cable TV... Probably the cheapest option.

Be aware that Canadian French is quite different from French language!

Beware of the FRENCH! They get you drunk and then proceed to teach you abusive words in French. :P
It's not getting any smarter out there. You have to come to terms with stupidity, and make it work for you.
