Interested in Angkor Wat in Oct?

Post by LydiaLydia » Tue, 09 Sep 2008 10:35 am

I am planning a 4.5 days trip to Cambodia on Oct 25- Oct 29, mainly for Angkor Wat. Because Oct 25 -26 are weekends, and Oct 28 is Deepavali ( a public holiday here, no work), so we can only use 1.5 days leave and fly back to Singapore at the noon of Oct 29. Of course, if you don’t want to go back to work in the afternoon of Oct 29, you need 2 days leave for this trip.
There is a promotion on Jetstar airline now. So the round trip flight Singapore –Phnom Penh is S$240.(including tax)

Oct.25 Fly from Singapore to Phnom Penh, Flight 3K591, 6:45AM- 7:40AM. one day in Phnom Penh, Stay in xx Guest House. (Haven’t decided where to stay yet)

Oct. 26 Take the Express Boat to Siem Reap (about 6 hours), view the big Tonle Sap lake, arrive at Siem Reap around 1PM. Stay in xx Guest House.

Oct 27. Siem Reap tour. Stay in xx Guest House.

Oct 28. Siem Reap tour. Take the local flight from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh at night. 7:45PM-8:25PM. Stay at xx Guest House.

Oct.29 Fly from Phnom Penh to Singapore, Flight 3K592. 8:20AM-11:15AM

The costs are about S$700 as following:
Round trip flight: S$240
Local transportation: USD34(boat)+USD100(local flight)+USD40(local car, can share this one)
Guest House: USD 15*4=USD60 (Can share if needed)
Food: USD 50
Ticket: USD40
Airport tax: about USD 25

Let me know whether you are interested in it. It is not finalized. We can meet sometime and discuss about the details of this trip. Shut me an email: [email protected] or PM me here.
Wish to hear from you soon.

Best,
Lydia

Hi LydiaLydia, your schedule looks more interesting than mine. I will be in Angkor Wat at that time if you fancy meeting up. I am scheduled to be there from 27th October to 1st November.

Hi,
I got some PM from some friends here who were asking whether I have finalized the tour.
So far, I will make the tour with another lady.
If you are also interested in it, please let me know ASAP.
Here it is our schedule:

Oct 25 Fly from Singapore to Phnom Penh. 6:45AM-7:40AM
One day tour in Phnom Penh. Stay in Fancy Guest House.
Oct 26 Take express boat from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap from 7AM-1:30PM.
Stay in Golden Temple Villa.
Golden Temple Villa will have the taxi pick us up from the ferry.
Check in and do the tour in the afternoon
Oct 27 Siem Reap tour . Stay in Golden Temple Villa
Oct 28 Siem Reap tour . Stay in Golden Temple Villa
Fly from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh at 8:00PM-8:40PM.
Oct 29 Fly from Phnom Penh to Singapore 8:20AM -11:15AM.

We have already booked the round trip flight from Jetstar.(S$316)
(The price goes up for $70 when we booked. We supposed to book it as S$246)
Confirmed with the Fancy Guest House (US$20/day for twin bed room on Oct 25 and Oct 28) and Golden Temple villa (US$25/day for twin bed room on Oct 26 and Oct 27)
We will hire an English speaking tour guide from Golden Temple Villa and rent the car there also. The tour guide will offer the tour fits our schedule.

Express boat ticket will be US$35/person. Fancy Guest House will book it for us.
Local Flight we will buy from tour agent in Siem Reap. If we buy it now online, it is US$115. Golden Temple Villa suggested us to buy there because it may be cheaper than we buy it online now.

Let me know whether you want to join in the tour with us because we may need more rooms. When I booked from Golden Temple Villa, they were almost fully booked at that time. We will try to work it out if you want to join in. I think it will be more fun if more people are going together.

Best,
Lydia
