IPA Letter Approved. Whats next?

Post by Jack_Hunk » Tue, 09 Sep 2008 10:34 am

My employer has sent me scanned copy of the In Principal Approval Letter from MOM. But right now I do not have any visa to enter Singapore. Is this scanned letter a valid document to enter Singapore and collect my Employement Pass?

The singapore immigration (ICA) hotline number seems to be busy always. Can some one give me correct information on this?

That's all you need, aside from any normal visa entry requirements that may be imposed on your country.

if you ar enot from a country which can get a visa upon arrival then it should be written on your IPA letter that you have been given a single entry approval.

this is the case on my wife's IPA letter for her DP

Do I require the original copy or the print out of the scanned copy will do?

I think it has been mentioned on the letter that I'm allowed a single entry inside Singapore. I'm anyways taking a copy to check with the Singapore High Commission in my country.

Yep, scanned copy is all they need. My husband was frantic since he didn't accompany me (the job holder) and as a dependent he worried they wouldn't let him in! No worries, they didn't even look at his papers.

Delayed IPA

Post by or6v » Sun, 06 Mar 2011 12:18 am

Hi. Just want to ask about IPA. I am approved SPass based on online status. however my employer said they have not receive the IPA. It's been two weeeks of waiting after the approval but until now they have not receive any IPA.

Any idea, what is going on? Would the MOM/ICA delayed the release of IPA in any circumtances? Any reason for delayed of release? what was the longest time of release of IPA?

Thank you very much
