Bromo Travel Info Sharing

Post by LydiaLydia » Tue, 09 Sep 2008 10:20 am

Hi, I just went to Bromo, a volcano in Indonesia, with another 2 girls I met online from Aug 30 to Sept.1. We had a lot of fun together. It’s a great escape from the work. We spent S$480 for each for this tour( exclude the personal shopping). Now I am sharing the details of this tour with you, just in case you want to go there sometime with your friends.

Aug 30 night: Bromo Permai Hotel. Cold at night. No aircon. But seems all the hotels there are around the same level.
Aug.31 night: Surabaya Singgasana Hotel, http://www.surabaya.singgasanahotels.com/index.html. Nice place to stay and relax. It is about Four Star hotel.

If you have one more day to stay , I will suggest you stay in Kusuma Agro Wisata Hotel in Batu. It is close to the Apple garden. Beautiful place to relax.

Singeri Tour. We use this tour agent for car rental and hotel booking. It can offer you better price than you book directly from the hotel by yourself. You can email Ms. Eva: [email protected]
This tour agent is located in Singgasana Hotel. You can call Singgasana hotel and ask them to transfer you to Sinergi Tour company.

Please go to Bromo during its dry season: Apr.- Oct. If you go for the raining season, I think it may be dangerous when driving through the mountain. Please rent a local driver to drive you there, there are a lot of sharp turns on the mountain area. If you drive by yourself, and you are not familiar with the road there, it may have the accidents.

Have fun!

Best,
Lydia
