My husband and I are considering relocating to Singapore. I however will need to look for a nursing job. I have a BSC (HONS) first class in Mental Health Nursing that I achieved here in the UK and I am also registered with our nursing board (Nursing and Midwifery Council, (NMC).
I have been looking at agencies but I would need a full time permanent job. What is the process involved? Also what are the main Mental Health Hospitals in Singapore? I would like to know what the usual process for job application is and where would they most likey to be advertised?
I have experience as an adult acute nurse (Clinical Team Leader) which involved some management of the ward and staff. My latest job is a Community Nurse in a Prison setting. I have been employed with the same employer for 12 years(NHS).
I am visting Singapore in October for one week (6th-10th) Would it be helpful for me to visit your department and bring any documents that I can start preparing now for my trip? Do you think it is advisable for me to make appointments to meet relevant departments at the hospitals?
