Hi sms i m interested in the methods you mention.

I need to lose 35kg to turn normal weight. i m looking for a professional doctor who can guild me along my diet and teach me the right way. NOT doctor who only provide patients DURAMIN or others diet pills. Having duramin is not really good idea for everyone. different people have different encounter with this DURAMIN. As i had problem with that medication it double my emotional aparts from the stress given by my weight. Though it helps to lose weight in short time, after all it will still gain back or more if people who dont learn to eats the right foods.

Care to send me the infomation to this email? [email protected]
thanks alot.

sadly not many doctors are great nutritionist, even the nutritionist here are way behind times and seldom update themselves on recent developments and research.

Why don't you try to read up on it and educate your self -

I recommend Lyle Mcdonald's products, no-nonsense straight up.
Ketogenic diet, flexible dieting would suit you.

There is also a support forum if you have questions about the diet and he'll reply shortly.

agree with single lady..

as most of you would have realise, quick fix dont work because the method used isn't sustainable.. you lose the weight quickly and you gain it back quickly.. it's all about re conditioning your lifestyle and eating habits.

personally, i've lost 12kg in about 5 months and have kept that weight off for a total of 5 years. it does seems like alot of ppl need help with losing weight (and i think the most important thing is health... physical, as well as mental and emotional well-being. you'll surely enjoy your new body and new look and you would want to keep it that way!!)

look for a sort of support group and make sure that you do have a sound plan... keep each other in check and having that emotional support would certainly help you in your weigh loss journey.

Its true.

Exercise alone cannot create a deficit enough to have substantial fat loss -
e.g 60 mins of 17km/h on a treadmill expands about 700 calories - 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories.

If we did lose all the all the energy from fat then we need about 5 hours of intensive running a week to effectively do it - in theory.

In reality,
Not many people can or are able to do such an exercise for 3 mins let alone 60 mins, the even more obvious reason is that no one has time to train 5 days a week for 1 hour each stretch.

Exercise is only maximum 1 hour a day, other 23 hours we still need to create a deficit.

However exercise in terms of resistance/lifting weights causes passive increase in the caloric expenditure as there is a need to repair the damage fibers and also when there is more muscles, RMR/BMR increase which burns calories 23 through out.

Exercise can make you lose weight, but heavy people are not recommended to jog or run, mainly because your knees will be hurt during the process. You won't want to slim down and then sustain knee problems right?

For myself, I'm also going for the same slimming as SMS. Aiming to lose 22kg of fats and gain 11kg of muscle.

For the rest of our readers, don't believe this clown. I would never recommend acupuncture or shakes or any other silly voodoo magic to loose weight. There is not a slimming programme anywhere that will do what the above poster is claiming.

Total BS

The only way is to eat much lesser than what you are eating now- that's all.

Of course it'll help , if you move around more.

I remember I saw an interview once, the interviewee was a Fench lady. She was explaining to the interviewer (Amercian) why the French ladies on the whole are slimmer than their Amercian counterparts. She said in France everyone walks. Whereas in USA, people drive everywhere- & everything else (e.g home devices ) are all automatic. :D

hey... so sorry sms and the other readers, i guess i've quoted the wrong person lol, coz i saw some one infront posting abt acupuncture slimming too.

but why dun you think that acupuncture or shakes works? imagine that you're gonna follow a super strict meal plan to control your diet as well as detox, then what do you think will happen to your weight for that short period of time?

hey, I give you my apologise once again... sorry...

Because it's been proven time and time again that these programmes do not work. Most is water loss and there is not diet that will allow you to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time without an exercise program. You are looking for magic. There is nothing that will work unless you change your lifestyle first and do not return to the same lifestyle. This seems rather hard for most people to do.
