Hi,
I was from Wednesday's round but didnt even get to the swimming round...share with us how was it like yesterday? did a lot of ppl get thru to the swimming test round??? although i failed for JQ but success with 3K! Woohoo! Which works out well for me in the end as i do prefer turnarounds as im already married and being able to come home everyday yet still get to fly is a dream come true...:)

hi bella... the 2nd round are basically the same as wat sum haf described.. started at 9am.. presentation by clyde the general manager abt the company... after tat there were 3 sets of games which to me is like a test to see our responsiveness, initiative and teamwork... den the last one will be the questionnaire.. after tat, we were told to wait outside while they do the shortlisting.. after abt 15mins, they called out the names.. there are 21 shortlisted incl me..
we were told to cum back after lunch.. another presentation from clyde.. tis time round id abt pay structure, training and all pertaining to things if we were emplyed... after tat we will be called one by one for a one to one interview... while waiting, the crew mingled with us, told us abt thier life in jetstar and clear some of the qns that we asked.. the final interview is abit hard.. more to practocal, experience n ur reaction to some problems.. den its the swimming test.. the swimming test is one by one whereby whoever is done wif the interview, they haf to leave the rm immediately and go for the swimming test.. its abt 15m and u haf to swim from one end to another end w/o your legs touching the floor.. doesnt matter wat way u do it as long as your feet doesnt touch the floor... tats abt it and they will call us if we r shortlisted...
one of the crew told us that christina will call us no matter if we got thru anot... so now im juz waiting for thier call...

Haha hello hellomaomao!

Nice to hear from you! Welcome to the wait-forever-but-still-no-news family. Don't worry you're not the only one. Me has been waiting since forever too.

Want to give up waiting soon liao. So stuck in limbo, want to do other things also don't know how.

I just got the latest news from my crew fren. JQ will call those selected from July and Aug interviews next week. Batch 9 will start training 18 Oct and batch 10 will start 1 Nov. So far, 26 is a maximum in a batch according to her.

Keep your phone near to you and standby money for medical :D

Hope it helps those who still waiting for the call!

Hi,

Can any current 3K crew enlighten us what's life like in 3K? Rosters, days off, benefits, and other senior crew in general. Gonna start training in November...would like to hear some input and advice...Thanks :)

I'm assuming 3k refers to Jetstar asia. I'm a crew with them now, Trust me its stressful be well prepared okie. Once u grad from training(provided you MUST pass your EP, if not retain). Everyday before fly they will shoot u with EP question very stressful indeed.

roaster depends... basically i only work 15 days per month then rest off days.
benefits they will brief you more once u sign ur contract like dental, Mc etcs.

as for senior crews some are bad some are very nice .. depends your luck :D

Gd luck .. but i do regret at time joining this job :( i hope 2 yrs faster past so i do have any bond and can quit!
thanks for sharing candiesboy. Well I guess theres always those bad nuts in every job but its up to us on how we cope. I hope that I'll have an OK time settling in though...and be nice to me if we end up flying together one day candiesboy! hehehe...
btw i read today's promotion in the papers that JQ will start direct flights to melbourne and 3K will start direct flights to Auckland sometime next year.? thats really exciting news!

Haha lovesong, but you say your friend says you made it through right? So your waiting is perhaps just a little less agonizing than us? Heh.

Anyway for a good 8 hours I was on JQ planes today so couldn't switch on my hp was switched off all this while, good to know there were no calls today!

On a side note, when I arrived at changi airport, one of the JQ cc who was assisting during my interviews in July was going on a flight. I almost jumped onto him to ask if he knew what was going on but decided against it in the end. Hehe.
