Bella Consuela,

haha yup we'll be neighbours! *off topic again* (>.<") haha same got the letter yesterday too..Ya our letter states 22nd and I thought have to take leave end up don't have to..lol..Strangely...if HDB does not open on Sundays, then I gotta call up and check...haha

Hmm as for the Tiger interview...I'm not really keen as well cuz the uniform and etc, I don't really like too...Sooo if I go it's probably gonna be a waste of time..Might as well sleep more at home...haha 24 Aug go try again for the JQ interview! hehes...

Plus JQ uniform is nicer~ haha...

Bbekandy;

I read Peggy Heng's blog too..The batch she was in, she seemed to be the prettiest..lol...no offence to her colleagues and definitely envious of them all, passing the trainings and being CC officially...haha

I'm just joking about the surgery part...don't worry ya..lol I wouldn't be that foolish...but I really wanna be a CC badly..haha..too bad my height..

Lyn2101,

"invitation's taken back due to my height" means I was actually called up by 3K for interview (same as Bbekandy & Bella Consuela after sending in resume) but when the lady asked for my height, she say I cannot go for the interview cuz minimium height requirement is 158. =((

My height is only 154 sometimes it measures as 153.5 or even 153 lor...damn sian(-.-")

Can I know what is your height? and are you working for JQ or 3K?

Bella Consuela,

You're going down to HDB on 23?? I'm going down too but on 22nd!! =) Are you getting the Boon Lay Grove flat? lol...I say you should go for the interview if you really want it, your hubby (if he is the flat main applicant, go down with relevant documents, will suffice...he just need to bring back the docs to let you sign and send back to HDB for processing)

Sorry off-topic...hehe both flat and interview are equally important!!!
Hi Dear,

Oh ! now with JQ. I'm going for my medical and security test next week and once I scheme pass all that, October 4th shall be my training date. I', in batch 8 (thats what the HR told me) they're hiring about 150 people for the upcoming batches. In a batch there will be 20-25 cabin crew.

and oh, I'm not THAT tall either! only 156. on a good day, 157.

Hi Lyn2101,

Care to share wat questions were asked during your interview? And share what they tested you during medical check-up? What's the security test about?

Thanks!

hi again all,

yup ill also be taking 2 days leave on the 23rd(3k) and 24(JQ).
I know 3K flies turnaround around Asia region with layovers to Perth and Osaka...but where does JQ fly to? I checked the website and JQ basically fly to all the Aussie places (like Cairns, Melb, Syd and such)only? I saw Honalulu and Auckland on the map as well...does JQ fly these routes?

Please do correct me if im wrong...and yeah what can we expect (questions wise) during the interview..thanks so much *excited* :)

Hi everyone,

JQ has decided to make singapore as a major HUB cum December. From what I was told, JQ's the first low cost airline to do long-haul flights also. So, by end of this year, we will be flying to more destinations.

First round- height and weight
You will then be interviewed by the crew base manager from melbourne, etc but not to worry, they're all really nice honestly. The one who interviewed was really warmth and nice. Questions wise-Mostly general questions. (how do you define a good cust service? etc)

They will contact on you ON THE SAME day to tell you that you've been invited to a 2nd round of the interview

Second round- activities
You will be put in groups of 10 each for this round for some games and activities. Be very active and take part in the games! :) There will be a short test after that but im sorry I can't fill you in on that.

Thereafter, there will be a cut.

Those who made it will advance to the final round-Management and swimming test.

They'll go in depth about the payroll, roster, travel benefit, bond, etc.
There will be a q and a session also. During the mangament round, you will be interviewed once again (final one on one interview) I have to admit, the questions they asked me caught me off guard in the beginning. Lol.

Finally.. swimming test! you will need to swim 50m. you can't stop once you do, you're disqualified.

So my personal advise is to, be mentally prepared be yourself and smile

Hi Lyn2101,

Thanks so much for the heads up, I have a few more questions for you if you dont mind...
-does Jetstar International fly to the Asian region or does only 3k does this?
-is 3K and JQ uniforms the same?
-are the interviews (one to one, management and swimming test) all done in 1 day? or will they ask u to come back the next day (meaning 2 days total)?
-how often will we be in singapore if we were flying with JQ? and how long are the layovers?

Thank you so much

Hi guys,

yes, jq does fly to asian destinations, like bkk and bali.
The interviews would be held over 2 days. If you made it past the first round, you'll be invited back the next day or the day after cos usually they select lots of ppl for the next rounds hence the 2 days. (eg 24th-1st rnd 25th or 26th-2nd rnd depends on how early you came for 1st rnd)

Work usually consists of turnarounds, 6days or 9days flights(might be less or more) depending on where you're rostered to.

First round questions are simple and straight-forward. Basically the same set if qns are asked at every walk-in.
Just be yourself and smile smile smile. :)
Good luck ya!

thanks for the heads up too metroman! are u a ex JQ crew? you're with SQ now right? :)
so JQ consists of a mixture of turnarounds (mostly) and layovers. was that wat u meant?
Is there any skin check of any kind for 3K or JQ? well i think the swimming test is also some sort of a skin check issint it? coz you'll be wearing the swimming costume and all? is wearing that full body swimming suit ok tho?
*haha sorry for asking so many questions...just curious..hope u dont mind..
