Hey Bbekandy,
I sent out my resume yesterday and I was called up too by Jetstar...almost nailed it!! Felt sooo happy when the woman picked me for interview but when she asked me for height, full stop. =(
Due to safety reasons, my height cannot be accepted and therefore she took back the interview invitation!!! why, why, why???? Sooo sad...I thought that might be a glimsp of hope and then poof! no more... =((

Sorry to hear that MademoiselleCher, but, just out of curiousity.. Are you above the required height? I'm just 1cm above and was very worried when the HR lady asked for my height but i've passed for the moment.. Very worried, nervous and excited for my coming interviewMademoiselleCher wrote:Hey Bbekandy,

In the mean time, send out your resumes!!

what are your heights respectively? im 1.58 sometimes im 1.59, but the tallest i measured at was 1.61 (haha weird), well its true that you cant be too short coz of the safety requirements...dont be disheartened? try yoga to stretch your muscles!! and posture is important too!

Bella Consuela,
I'm only 1.54...that pretty much explains it...Yoga can't help me much? =( If only I was 1.58...ahhaha should ask my parents why I'm born short...lol..
Starliteray,
Don't worry I think as long as you're in the height requirement will be safe cuz sometimes they do take in people who are 1 cm or 0.5 cm shorter too...
I guess mine is way too short...but I don't look short lor...haha...damn sad...anyway good luck to you all! =)

I'm 159cm. Always 159cm.. Hope i don't shrink during the height test.. Bella you should teach me how to make myself taller. Maybe i should like style my hair higher on that day so i could perhaps look taller? XD!
Wonder if Jetstar's requirement is as strict as SIA. I downloaded SIA's application and i saw a part where they asked if you have any birthmarks, scars, marking.. >.<" I have no tattoos, just afraid that some scars (on the hands & legs) from my skin problem will give me trouble..
*shivers*

I don't think Jetstar is that particular about scars...went for the JQ interview last july and there wasn't any skin check...but for SIA, skin check is a must cuz they're extremely particular about it..
Image afterall is what SIA is about..you know what I mean?
haha I tried doing my hair higher a bit when I went for interview with Silkair and the woman measured me by the top of my mini hair bob...lol perhaps you can try but you're already 1.59...it's alright...

LoLx~~!! XD!! Hmm.. You mind giving me a heads up on what i will be expecting? Since this will be my 1st cabin crew interview. I'm very worried about how i should dress.. Office wears? <-(i find it weird. But should i?) How long does the interview takes? And, any weird questions they asked? These questions has been boggling my head since i got the call from the HR lady.. And any guage on the pay structure.. And what about the medical fees and what bond payment.. Very confused about these things since i started reading up..MademoiselleCher wrote:I don't think Jetstar is that particular about scars...went for the JQ interview last july and there wasn't any skin check...but for SIA, skin check is a must cuz they're extremely particular about it..

Lol,
I can't possibly fill you in on the salary and all..but as for the medical fees and bond payment...If you back read this thread...the latest info is no payments needed for the bond...
medical wise I'm not too sure...and yes OFFICE WEAR is a must! this is the least you could do to make yourself look presentable and it is also a form of basic courtesy and respect to yourself and the interviewers...
Imagine you're a interviewer and then you see a woman dress like she is going for a shopping trip, how will your first impression of that woman be?
Always give yourself half or full day for the interview is what i sugguest from the experiences I got for going to the interviews...lol try not to date anyone after that cuz you never know how long or how many people there will be at the interview...
don't be confused...just try to back read more in the forums on these few threads...I was initially the same as you...lol...last but not least try not to worry too much bah...
I tend to worry a lot like you...but then again I don't know if this coming interview is gonna be successful or not...if eventually it is then start to worry...until then...best not to give yourself unnecessary pressures? lol
just my 2 cents worth! Best of luck to you! =)

hi all~
MademoiselleCher : dont be sad alright! do more stretching, basketball and skipping. i'm 159cm actually, but might have shrink to 157-158cm.. =/
Bella Consuela : haha, i got the call in like 5 hours after sending in my resume, which made me very shocked too~ cuz i was expecting the call the next day. hahaha.. yep 8.30, 23rd aug. where do you stay? im in the north area. we can wait for the email to be out first den we start planning alright! =D
starliteray : dont worry so much!! now all i do is my best and leave the rest up to fate. =D
your qn regarding jetstar can be found on previous post~
alittletwist : from previous post, there's a tip that JQ open date is on 24/8/10, keep a lookout for it in the papers!
actually i think JQ might earn more than 3K, as JQ has layovers and flying hours are longer, though their basic is lesser den 3K, they earn more with the flying pay. =/
but either way, i hope the previous post is right about earning 1.8k/month cuz if its lesser, it wouldnt be enough for my expenses.
Good luck!!
