Hi There, thank for the info on the salary .. So isn't that low like $1.7 every month after all. How long are the layover at other country usually be ? What stars of hotel staying in ? And How long is the contract as a cabin crew ?whitepetals wrote:and yes, just to clarify.. the interview on the 25 Oct is for Jetstar International, flying long haul, not turnarounds, flying to australia, japan, new zealand, and in the november, beijing
jetstar international (JQ) avg take home pay is 2-2.2k (that is based on my own salary for the past 10 months).. although on some months for some crew it can go down to like 1.7 or for some it can go up to 2.7k. every 6 months u get paid back on the accrued days because roster is a 28-day one... but one month has 30-31 days.. so the balance days will be given back every 6 months which usually the pay can shoot up to above 3k for that month only, it's just a payback.
yes many of u are right to say that we spend a lot when we r overseas cos we earn sgd but lose out on forex. but to be an international crew, to enjoy layovers...i guess that's the price we have to pay? can't always have the best of both worlds.. since we are after all a LCC... well nothing wrong with that but u gotta understand this is how the low cost model works. if u don't wish to lose out on forex and u aren't really interested in flying long haul... (maybe u prefer coming home everyday) then airlines like 3K or tiger might be better for you
to each his own good luck everyone for whichever airline interviews you are going for... and to those trying for JQ, hope to see you on board soon!
