Hi Confidante, I was telling intoxicat I have yet to decide if I'm going this Saturday.. Are you allocated the morning or afternoon slot?

n levels can try :) i have some colleagues that have n levels as well. but i must mention that their spoken english are all pretty alright... and just be able to do some simple math.. ur friend shd be fine.

with regards to swimming, the pool is only until ur ribcage if u r abt 1.6m tall. not deep. same depth throughout the entire pool. very short distance. if u r like me, freaking out during swimming, don't worry. if u have what the interviewer is looking for, they usually give u a second chance at swimming... ask u to relax first then try again. don't be afraid go practise swimming now before the interview... u still have plenty of time :)

and yes, just to clarify.. the interview on the 25 Oct is for Jetstar International, flying long haul, not turnarounds, flying to australia, japan, new zealand, and in the november, beijing

jetstar international (JQ) avg take home pay is 2-2.2k (that is based on my own salary for the past 10 months).. although on some months for some crew it can go down to like 1.7 or for some it can go up to 2.7k. every 6 months u get paid back on the accrued days because roster is a 28-day one... but one month has 30-31 days.. so the balance days will be given back every 6 months which usually the pay can shoot up to above 3k for that month only, it's just a payback.

yes many of u are right to say that we spend a lot when we r overseas cos we earn sgd but lose out on forex. but to be an international crew, to enjoy layovers...i guess that's the price we have to pay? can't always have the best of both worlds.. since we are after all a LCC... well nothing wrong with that but u gotta understand this is how the low cost model works. if u don't wish to lose out on forex and u aren't really interested in flying long haul... (maybe u prefer coming home everyday) then airlines like 3K or tiger might be better for you :)

to each his own :) good luck everyone for whichever airline interviews you are going for... and to those trying for JQ, hope to see you on board soon! :)
