Don't give up, intoxicat! Keep sending! They are expanding, i'm sure they need more crews to fly too!

For myself, im an ex-crew from TR, not 3K..

Should be take home, yes, I feel that it's very low and they always do long layovers.. You still need to survive overseas + shopping..

That is why i am in a dilemma to go for the interview or not.. I am currently employed and just wanna return to flying cos i like it.. It is really fun! But thinking of the salary, the irregular hours, its not really worth it unless i purely want to enjoy and return to fly just because i love flying.. :???:

i think those who are ex crew have higher chance as chow5 is also an ex crew from jetstar.

i do fulfil their requirements stated on the website and i sent in my cv last week and on wednesday.

Till date, there's no phone calls or email from them. well i guess im being eliminated from the interview ba.. anyway congrats!

ur 2k is gross or take home? if gross 2k is a little low for cc..

Hi mehmeh, I tink I sent in thrice already. What's the purpose of keep on sending when they dun wanna shortlist u?

I oso tink tat it's not worth to go bk budget airline since u already have the experience. U sld try for full service airline like sq or silkair. For 2k it's Reli not worth the time spent unless u r like me la.. No experience n wanna try out cabin crew life.

I have also heard of ex crew from TR switching to SQ.. So y not try for SQ? More $$, more benefits and can travel to US and Europe for free.

You sent in thrice just for this recruitment alone? You know why, some times they tend to overlook due to the overwhelming response..

I'm getting married next year and it won't be easy for me if I do frequent layovers.. I have been to US and may be going back to either US or Europe with my fiance in a few years' time..

Next, its because of a new scar near my neck/chest area that I got in the recent years, which I definitely can't wear SQ's round neck or MI's v neck uniform.. :( But again, donning the Kebaya has always been my dream! Or in fact, most girls' dream!

Don't give up alright? Flying is really fun, trust me!

I should think Jetstar International pays more than Jetstar Asia due to its flying routes.

Hey mehmeh,
I've received their email but i think there's something wrong.
I pm u already..

this time's recruitment is for jetstar international.. flying long haul to australia, auckland, japan.. upcoming beijing in november.. and if you are lucky, hawaii. :)

although i cannot provide the exact ground school dates, but it should be in december. need some time to process all the paper work yea? :)

take home pay.. got so low meh? lowest i got is 2k.. well if u take mc.. or leave.. then it may really get quite bad. if not, it shouldn't be that tough getting around 2-2.3k take home.

but having said that, bear in mind that you spend a lot of foreign currency. unless if u have a determination to save money, if not i doubt anyone will be able to save that much compared to big airlines. people here are really nice and fun so no worries about culture shock or zappiness.. i think that's one thing i love about this airline. no seniority, we all learn from each other and back each other up. like family! :D

anyway, if anyone here is applying for jetstar international.. don't send in any resume.. just go walk in on 25th oct alright? and bring all the necessary documents.. be happy and confident and friendly.. and most importantly be yourself!

good luck everybody!! :)

hi whitepetals,

your meaning of this time recruitment is for jetstar international.. are u referring to today interview(via email invitation for shortlisted candidates) or this upcoming interview on 25th oct?

So is this 25th oct walk in interview confirmed? do i need to keep a look out for the ad on Today newpaper?
