Help! - Looking for feedback on Camelot & other EC Condo

Post by vickyilla » Thu, 04 Sep 2008 3:12 pm

Hi there. My family will be moving to SG in Oct and are considering best condo to live in for the family. We have decided on the East Coast, and would appreciate feedback on some of the condo's we have short listed. We have a 5 and 6 year old, who will be attending the Australian International School, and hushand will be working at Pasir Ris. Husband has seen some apartments in the following complexes, but especially liked Camelot. Also, saw apartments in Costa Rhu, Pebble Bay, Sanctuary Green, Sovereign and Cote D AZur. Any Feedback on these would be REALLY appreciated, partcularly want to know:

Are they family friendly - with lots of families with young kids?
What are the facilities like?
Are shops, markets easily assessible?
Ease of catching public transport?
Are rooms fairly sound proof?
Do they allow pets - we will be bringing our cat?
Approx. time school bus takes to get to the AIS?

I have lots of questions, sorry! But really worried about making the wrong decision, especially for the kids.

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Vicky:)

Post by vickyilla » Sat, 06 Sep 2008 3:07 pm

Hi everybody, no replies as yet regarding Camelot and other EC condo's. I really, really need some help. We are down to shortlist of a couple of condo's and need to make a decision soon, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated - especially want to know if Camelot has families with young children living there.

Please somebody help!!!!!!!

Hi
I am probably one of the least experienced person to reply to your post as I have only been in Singapore for about a month. However, i will try my best. We live on the east Coast (fab!)and our children go to the French School. I drive past the Australian school everyday. we live opposite pebble Bay and it is absolutely beautiful. The swimming pools are amazing. There is a little shop for small things like milk, sugar,...but rather expensive and we only use it for emergencies. There are many dogs in and out of Pebble bay so pets are allowed in the block but it might ultimately depend on the Landlord. There is a Cold Storage 10-15 minutes walk away. Pebble Bay is very close to main supermarkets Giant in Parkway Parade and carrefour in Suntec(10-15 mins or so by car when no congestion). The drive to the Australian School is fine. No idea about school buses. It takes me about 20-25 mins to get to the french School which is a bit further but I leave home at 7.30 at the latest. The traffic is obviously heavier after 8ish. Sanctuary Green (opposite Pebble Bay) is very nice too but rooms of the apartment my hubby visited were quite small. Most condos are very child friendly and I am sure your little ones will have a great time!! I don't know any of the other condos you mentioned but I am sure someone will help.

Best of luck with the move

lily :)

Thank you

Dear Lily,

Thank you for your feedback on Pebble Bay - it is our other shortlisted condo complex. We have been leaning towards Camelot because the apartment sizes are a little larger, and with a very active 5 and 6 year old, there are times I definitely need that extra space!!! Also, although Pebble Bay looks beautiful, the size of the complex is a little intimidating. Camelot only has 100 units.

Again, thank you for your feedback, it has certainly helped reassure us about the area.

Kind regards

Vicky
