A Place Like Denny's or IHOP

Post by Taoism32 » Thu, 04 Sep 2008 11:03 am

When I first came to Singapore and heard my co-workers say that they are going to eat at a coffee shop, I was so excited. Now I understand they they have a different meaning.

Does anyone know where they serve a good American breakfast like Dennys or Ihop. I have been to the bontanical garden, the food was OK, but it took so long just to get a seat.

Sorry for giving advice without having eaten there first but I have seen a lot of Swensen's Restaurants around Singapore. As I have walked past it a few times and the menu looks just like Dennys. Perhaps others can give you a review on the food.

Denny's or IHOP, good?

Wow, you must be really homesick. I think you should just make it yourself, or go to the American Club. There actually used to be a Denny's here, but I believe it closed.

Yeah, It was in the back block on Orchard Towers right on the corner ground floor. Was great after a long night in OT.

Breakfast

Road.Not.Taken,

You got me there. I was thinking about the word "good" after I wrote the post but was too lazy to go back and edit.

Denny's is the best place to go when you have a hang over. Nothing beats the oily omelettes and water down coffee.

haha, Interesting that Denny's had a outlet at OT, no wonder it failed. People like me can't go there.

I can see the conversation now.

Coworker "Hey, last night I saw you around OT"
Me "Yeah, I was there for the Omelettes"
Coworker "Sure you were, wink wink"

There is a place in Geylang that sells Taiwanese Soy Milk and Doughnuts, same reason I don't go there.
