could recommend a childcare (29 months) in jurong west?

Post by edmond » Sun, 31 Aug 2008 3:06 pm

Dear parents,

could anyone recommend a good childcare for a 29 months girl? better in jurong west.

I just hope she is happy and safe. It doesn't matter much if she can not learn much. I only hope she can settle down in child care without much crying.

I got Cherie Hearts Justkidz, Whisper Hearts, Pat School House, and Carpe Diem Kidsworld from the web. Could you also give some feedback?

by the way, what is the difference between childcare, preschool and kindergarten?

Thank you.

You have not stated which part of Jurong West are you. You may try MMI Jurong West Extn or I think there is another in Jurong West Blk 5**

Childcare- Where you can leave your kids from morning to evening.

Preschool- Few hours a day

Kindergarden - First 2 important years before entering Primary 1.For those aged 5-6

Dear Chixchix,

Thank you for your informative explain. I will call MMI .

I live near Pioneer North. There is Ichiban there but only a few hours a day.

NTUC might have a place around you too. Check for NTUC Childcare that handles from from upto 7am to 7pm, I think like Carpe Diem.

Hi

I have tried both NTUC and MMI. Personally, I don't like NTUC. Teachers are not responsive enough. My child has tried all means not to go every morning. She has contradicted Hand, Foot and Mouth diesease 3 times in 2 months. Thus, this is the last straw that I pulled her out and joined MMI.
So far, I am very happy with the childcare and my child look forward to go there every morning.

This is my personal experience which might help you when making your choice.

Thank you for sharing, MominJW. Unfortunately, MMI Jurong west has no vacancies.

My daughter is not happy in a childcare (full day). lots of tears. I am thinking of Pat School house Arena. Do you have any information about it? I just hope she can be happy, happily go to school, no tears. Thanks.

My younger boy is 36 mths..i did call Pat's to enquire ..I mean the one in Jurong..and also ,Carpe DIem,,was told that no vacancy.

But MMI is good. My son is attending the flexi care, thrice a week. You may want to go down personally to check out the centre.. In fact the link I gave you earlier has lots of comments on pre-schools in Jurong.

Edmund, are you sure they got no vacancy ..i find that the class for smaller kids , have so less children.. Did you go down there.... look for Anna and talk to her.

I let u know my story. My son ,is now N1.Now ,for N1 they have lots of kids,so they have 2 classes. In one class, the teacher is very gentle with kids, and the other class teacher, you can never see a smile on her face.

When I popped in, I asked Anna to put my child in the other class where the teacher was very gentle, and I was told no vacancies. So I told her " You dont expect me to put my boy in the other class where the teacher doesnt smile at all " ...

SO i told her , to put my boy in the other class. After few weeks, I can see some more kids being squeezed into the class as well.
Always have a smile on that face!

Hi Edmond

Maybe you want to put your daughter on waiting list for MMI. They will call you once they have a vancancy.

As for Pat schoolhouse, I did call them up and enquiry but did not went down to take a look as I find it location very inconvenient.
