CX Singapore base Flight attendant recruitment 09/2008!

hello...

i just got back from the med check up. tot i share with those going since im the first to go.

when i went there, there's a lady (wear specs, look like in her 30-40s) who is in charge. she has a list of our names. she wil ask for ur ic n ask u fill up a 'cabin crew' form abt medical history. there's quite alot of questions but basically its just either tick 'yes' or 'no'... dun blindly tick 'no' all the way coz if u wear specs, there's one where u have to tick 'yes'.

then she wil give u a bottle to fill ur urine. after, pass back to her then wait for ur turn to see the doc. i waited abt 15minutes...
.
the doctor was very nice n explained every step he was doing n why he was doing so. he wil check ur pulse/bp, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, ears (yes he did check for ear wax!)... a whisper test where he ask u to cover ur ears n he wil say something (which was quite funny coz i couldnt reali hear coz he was so soft!) then he wil take his pen n ask u to eye the tip of it, tink tat is for coodination or response.. then he wil ask u to lie down n he wil press ur stomach here n there to check if ur intestines r ok. for guys, he wil check the groin area. he wil also check the feet for their arch n corns. he wil ask u if u have tattoos n piercings.

then proceed to another room to measure height, weight n arm reach. eye sight. blood test.
.
then lastly lung x ray.
.
everything was done in half an hour.

Hi all, when I first start reading this Topic I only wanted to know if there is any news of Opening for CX again as I went to Emirates but I did not get in never expect that I'll read all 34 pages It was so interesting.. Wow... Wish you all got selected. Haiz.. When will be my turn?

n becoz of some reason they rejected mi, but i nvr give up..
thr r so many airlines for u to try...so pick ur own choice...

I m back from the medical..

Test done:
-urine sample
-blood sample
-xray of lung
During the 1st 3 tests done, I had my eyesight checked (Heng, no need to take off lens ), height and weight taken, and to reach for the 208cm mark without tip-toeing..

After that I got my queue no to wait for my turn into the consultation room to see the doctor, qns were asked and I had to lie down and the doc pressed some parts of my abdomen to see if there are any enlargement of my organs..Blood pressure also taken..

He checked my ears for ear wax(I finally know what they are checking for le...coze the JAL medical I didnt knew wat they are checking )
He also checked my eyes rotation (he asked me to follow the direction he is waving the pen without moving my head), the bottom of my feet to check for callous..and also my nose to see if it's clear

hey im at the airport. gotta quickly answer u... no he didnt ask me to take out my shirt. he just press the stomach area with my shirt on. but urm... the groin area i have to lower my pants down a little la...

anyway chest/lung xray, got to take off shirt ah...

Was you appt in the morning? I think I saw enen.. coz her appt was @ 3.30pm.. Not sure if i saw jas85 coz when I arrived, there was 2 other gals there and one gal arrive after me..I was late for about 10mins due to heavy rainpour..
For me, during the eye test, the lady asked me whether I'm wearing contacts and asked me wat was my degree and whether did i bring my contact lens solution. I told her i did and i remove my contacts to do another eye test without my lens. The doc was a very nice guy..
As for height measurement, i couldn't reach 208cm without tip toe. When I tiptoe, the first time, i can't reach and the lady asked me to try again.. and i manage to reach it.. coz im not very tall.. keke.. dat's why i try cx coz no min. height requirement...

Yes, mine was in the morning at 1130am, but I reached ard 1140am due to the heavy downpour..

wow...u was asked to take off ur lens Coze I did told the lady that I can't see very clearly w/o my lens..
Then another guy appeared (shld be the doc in the clinic)...told the lady: "Dun ask her to take off her lens coze we dun have the proper equipements here (I think he is refering to lens solution/container), later get eye infection"

But then...the lady didnt asked me if I did brought any hee..
So she asked me:"Ok, if without ur lens how far can u see?" So I replied that I can only see the 1st 3 lines from the top...(But the actual truth is, I can't really see the whole lot in fact w/o my lens )

As for the arm reach, I wasn't even allowed to tip-toe...I dunno if this is on a case-to-case basic coze I can reach the 208cm mark w/o tip-toeing..
When I stood on the board, the lady told me to stretch my arms as high as possible w/o tip-toeing...maybe the problem is with me lah
I rmb asking the lady if I can tip-toe...she told me try not to...

Nah, dun worry...even standing at 167cm, after the stretching of my whole body I just managed to reach the 208cm abit...just barely only

If CX didnt penalised us, then I think the clinic shouldn't
