Hi, i think u should be more professional in handling such question, if you are a cabin crew, perhaps its time to have some self reflection on your conveying skill to the public, coz pasSengers will not be satisfied with your service with such conveying and analytical skill.Being a crew, not only knowing how to serve and to ensure safety onboard, there must be some degree of intellectual and professionalism in handling situations inregardless on who is probing the question. Be it the crew memeber, pilots or the public.
people are asking on each day on the sectors flew even knwing it it's just a HKG sector. coz IATA rules is that crew must have a mininum crew rest hours and if we are interested in the job, we need to clarify to the correct channel and not having someone answering in such manner. I seriously feel and wonder if you are crew. If you are in the service line, i would say u are not tactful in handling such situation and the company could have made a mistake. Be it of just answering to qns on forum, it shows how much a person have in himself/herself of professionalism towards service.
Perhaps the qns sounds redundunt to you, but to all wanabes out there, they are keen to find out and would appreciate if any kind souls ans their qns.
Thank you.

Rubbish! this is not a professional BB.It's cyber space for goodness sake!

Do you think he/she is asking the Q in the context of IATA rules?

This person dosen't even know what X-around is.

If you have any initiative about the job go and do some research.

By the way I am not a CC.

Singapore - Hong Kong three times a day? I hope not one one flight takes around 12 hours in total! Profile: book on two hours in advance, flight in one direction three hours, layover 1 maybe two hours, return leg another three hours 10 hours so far, aircraft landing parking and unloading around an hour, that's 11 hours at least!

Please note the traffic is often delayed leaving Hong Kong as much as hour. :(

during training for the first aircraft type...u'll get layovers in hkg...
once conversion is over... flight pattern as follows
Sin-Hkg-Sin (1 day).
Sin-Colombo-Sin (2 days) Night Flight.
Sin-Hkg, Layover, Hkg-Bkk-Sin (3 days pattern).

6 weeks training in hkg. Intensive and critical. Shopping spree for previous batch as it was summer sale. So it depends on individuals ability to juggle and manage their time.

Though the interviews may be slightly easier compared to SQ.
But Hkg Base Trainers expect alot from Sin Base Crew.
So be prepared... :)

You cant do 2 to 3 Turnaround flights (SIN-HKG-SIN) A DAY. I think you should be the one who need to google on this.

Ofcourse it can be done. If fach the MU [ Google that ] and Air China CC clock in 110 hrs per month.

70 Hrs is chicken feed!

Thrust me 6 sectors a day is a reality.

According to what i know...
CX have a 5 year contract...No Bond...so u're able to quit within a one month notice.

Pay Range is bout $1230 basic. $15 per hour of flying.
In btw flights u might get off or have to do a turn around..it all depends.
CX culture is much better now compared to the past whereby seniority plays a impt role...it still does for seniors who bid for annual leaves...
Chances are they wil have priority...other than that...all the crews are very cohesive and work as a team...
But salary wise...SQ is definately better as they have longer flights...

Hi,
I am CC for CX which based in HKG. Btw, i come from M'sia. As the information in CX, the pay range for basic is around 16k HKG and the outport allowance will pay when u fly to other countries. The flying rate per hours is 59 HKG/hrs. So the min Block hours u must work in CX per month is 70 hours. If u get the chance to swipe with ur others colleg, then u might be able to earn 20k HKG per month, but the place u wsipe must be far a way and also hv high standard living e.g Dubai, LA. :P And the annual leaves which CX provide is 21 days annual leave per yrs. About the roaster which flying from SG to HKG, it is turn around flight but i dun think tat u hv to fly to SG-HKG many times per day. Basically there is only a flight per day no matter u r in short haul, medium haul or long haul. There is no bond between u and CX, and the contract they only provide up to 3 yrs. and the later on u wan to continue or not is depends on u. :)

Anyway, jz hv a try for the CX interview. If u get through the final and medical test... A pre-employment briefing will be held, u will know there is a lots of benefits u can get from CX. :)

2 turns? Do you mean there and back? Only possible to one Singapore - Hong Kong flight and back per day or visa-a-versa. See my earlier post. :?
