Of course not all are able to live in back & white landed property surrounded by lush vegetation either.

Oh SMS, come on. All of Singapore is surrounded by vegetation! Let's not make this a debate about the haves and haves not, we're talking about bugs not class wars, right? Bugs are a part of life anywhere, especially in the tropics. There are ways to minimize it, but thats all you can really do. To suggest it is remedied by good housekeeping alone is not really the whole story, is it? I'm sure you've had dengue? Have you forgotten how debilitating it is?

We have had an interesting 10 days property searching - I have to say it's been quite an experience, if a little frustrating.

You may find allot of the appts you have shortlisted are no longer available when you get here but at least you have an idea of the development you are interested in.

I think the agents use allot of 'ghost' adverts to get you to call. You will find a great apt in your budget on the web then when you call you find that it's gone - oh shock horror. They will then ask you about your requirements then call you or take you viewings which are at least $1-1.5k above the budget you've told them. Agh!!

Sometime those listing are not updated, so you might think that it's a ghost adverts.
