i wanna do facial liposuction but scared of too much swelling and bruising...can anyone who has done it before tell me how many days it will take for the swelling and bruising to subside? is the swelling serious? and i have to wear the elastic dressing for how many days after that? besides...can i go to work after about one week of rest at home?thanks!

My friend had lipo on his neck and it hardly bruised at all. He had to wear the bandages for 3 days then he put them on every night when he returned home for a weeks or so. As it is usually a small amount of fat removed and therefore less traumatic than removing litres from say thighs or belly there was less bruising for him on his face and neck. No-one would have been able to tell. Also the results take a few weeks to show so once the initial mild bruising has disappeared there are no great changes for anyone to see for a while anyway.
He had his tummy lipo'd at the same time and there was a lot of bruising there which took a couple of weeks to subside. The results again took weeks to see but now (just over a year on) the difference in shape is quite spectacular.
Good Luck :)
