Does anyone know what airline or agent provides the best air fare deal to Korea from Singapore? There is a holiday coming up and I'd like to take a break to go there. Your help is highly appreciated!

There's loads of travel agents though, on hundreds of street corners and shopping centres the island over. Most agents run the same or similar packages.

Sorry, disagree about Zuji... cannot always get a good deal, sometimes better thru an airline website but I have also gotten very good deals for HK and KL... $215 round trip on JAL.

But, you are correct... homework is the word of the day if you want to know if you are getting your best deal.

I've almost always been able to get a better deal from somebody else other than Zuji.......after all the homework you mention.

It's a pity because Zuji started off in HK years ago as being really competitive. If memory serves Cathay Pacific was one of the companies behind the formation of Zuji but i don't know how much involvement it has these days.

you will be surprise that singaporeair.com can sometimes be cheaper. even if it is more expensive by about S$5, which one would you book your ticket with? you got the assurance booking with singaporeair.com. these days, airfare is so competitive that airline webiste are offering good deals, so it is worth checking with the airlines website for a quote.

I basically meant that of the various airlines, SQ is the most expensive in the majority of cases out of Singapore.

Don't think there's any one particular airline or agent with the best deals anymore. The industry is so competitive that someone or other is always giving a promotion. Worth checking online and in the papers for specific deals for the period you're looking at. Happy holidays!

Hi all - FWIW - Ms C and I do the following for airfares:

1. zuji.com.sg
2. expedia.com
3. expedia.com.sg
4. home nation primary carrier - i.e. for us, SQ
5. webjet.com.au (sometimes, if there is a sector back to Oz)

We use the two expedia sites as sometimes there is a difference in pricing, and even with exchange rate differences it sometimes works out better.

A bit time consuming, yes, but all in all it's not difficult, and we feel we then can get "best fare of the day".

As a side note: we've noticed a dramatic increase over the past 4 months of multi-stop trips being significantly cheaper than direct flights. Not on all sectors, but some. For example, one trip to Melbourne had us flying SIN-HKG-BNE-ADL (!)-MEL !!! Some unbelievable amount of time in the air/ground - the trip was almost 30 hours in total - but was priced about 1/3rd less than a compaarable SIN-MEL. Not sure if that's of any help to anyone!
