Post by maneshba » Sat, 23 Aug 2008 11:48 pm

Hi! I live on the East Coat and I'm currently using internet wirless with M1 but the reception is really bad, I would like to try to switch to cable with Sturhub or phone line with Singtel? Which one is better ?

both are equally good but i suggest you do your own comparison between the two provider if you want to get any of the package as you will get some people liking one over the other. just a couple of points, if the property has a starhub point, it make it easier, and with singtel ADSL, you need to subscript to singtel landline.

this question has been asked a few times on this forum, so do a search too.

I've got Starhub internet cable (8Mbps) and I found it very slow at peak hours :(

I can't even watch streaming videos on Youtube!

We're on StarHub cable 100mbps - and as I've posted here a couple of times (as suggested, use the search function), you'll likely find broadband to be pretty slow on inbound connections worldwide. IMHO, I don't really see it as being a provider issue - there's just not enough bandwidth coming in for residential households.
