Playing Golf with a Caddie : not possible in Singapore ?

Post by pierrealain » Tue, 19 Aug 2008 6:45 am

Last week, I booked a 18-hole with 4 friends at Marina Bay and my wife came along to caddie me. It was impossible, she has to pay a full green fee and rent a lub set to be allowed to come along... We negotiated for 10 minutes as they did not even wanted to reimburse the fee... Finally they called the manager who aepted to pay the money back but explained that she could not join for insurane reasons... Is it the ase for any ourse in Singapore ???

I had the same experience. Seems it works that way in Singapore...
You should go to Indonesia. There you can caddie (or at least, I did!).

its my understanding that you can have a caddie if the caddie is employed by the golf course

Did you ask if she could just walk round the course following the group just to watch?

I've never hearfd anything like that before. Maybe people have used that trick in the past to play a free round?
