momeen - I'm pretty sure you'll pull through! There is a lot of support here - have you tried some of the other threads? Seems to be quite a few active Mum threads at the moment.

Hang in there - ok!

cheers, P

Maybe you could just hire a part-time agency maid/helper whilst you find the right maid?
Take a deep breath and try to hang on to the moments - even the challenging ones, your kids wil be grown all too quickly and then it will be you with the runny nose as you wave them goodbye to college/work/marriage.
Tomorrow will be better, try and get some rest and you'll feel better able to handle your lows.
Good Luck :-)

In 5 years time you will look back on it and laugh... that or break down sobbing but aim for the former. :D

no need for a maid la. enjoy every single moment of it, good or bad coz that is parenthood.

Well I'm glad to know that I am not alone...I've been wanting to run away almost everyday since I got here a few weeks ago...but we've also been moving, trying to get settled in, get the kids in school, I have no one to talk to...and I just need a freakin' babysitter sometimes...I miss having the independence of driving myself around...getting a car is an option...but then again it would be suicide to drive around in the Singapore traffic. If you ever want to get together I am in the Newton area around United Square...I think I'm pretty laid back...I have 2 boys...husband works alot so usually it's just the 3 of us. I am from the US, Texas in particular...I love to laugh so if you're funny that's a giant plus...anyway, I can be reached at [email protected]. Hope to hear from you!
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

Hi there,

I know what u mean.. being a mother to a fussy 1 year old is difficult. Its not the terrible two's for me.. its the terrible 1's.

I'm also looking for some people to talk to.. been here for a long time but dont have many friends who have kids.
I live in the east and i work but going to stop soon for full time care of my baby.

If i'm having a bad day with her, i usually try to do something we both enjoy; a walk, give her a good bath or a swim if possible..
hope it helps. :)

Oh boy! Well hang in there. :) Youre going through the same thing as most mothers do. If its too tough hire a babysitter, when things calm down little go on out and give yourself a treat!

bebe le chotchkey, yes I know what you mean driving in Singapore is different from where you came from. One can get a headache by just seeing those cars on the road. Trust me stick to the public transport or cabs. Singapore is a small country, its eaasy to get around even if you dont own a car. But sometimes you know, the weather plays a part.

Try these maid agencies visit their website or just give them a call. shouldnt be much of a problem.
