UK Television in Singapoe

Post by MasterMikeyP » Wed, 13 Aug 2008 7:20 pm

Hi there, new to the forum and cannot find any info. on this subject (apologies if this is just my IT skills failing me!). I have heard rumours my tele (1yr old pioneer plasma) will not work in Singapore unless I run through cable or get a local digital receiver. Is this true. Any other problems with using UK teles in Singapore? Any advice much appreciated.

your UK TV will work in singapore. your source will probably come from a cable setup box, so no need for a receiver. if your plasma has an analogue receiver (not freeview), it should still work in singapore.

one thing you need to remember is that their are no aerials ( antenas) in Singapore so everything is cable here. There is only one provider >> Starhub and when you subscribe you get a set top box.

Check out their website to see whats available.

Singapore has been multi format for years ( PAL - NTSC) so your TV will work fine.

Good luck
