We will be coming over to Singapore in a few weeks, just a few questions i'd like to throw out there that are bothering me!
Firstly, does internet shopping exist over there? I currently get my weekly shop from Waitrose and can't imagine having to go to a supermarket ever again!
Second, does Sky exist over there? Not that we're TV addicts, but would be nice to have the comfort of knowing one can watch Battle Star Galactica when one wants!! If Sky is not avaliable what is the equivalent TV/Cable over there?
We are thinking of moving to the East Coast as we've heard it's quite good for families....although we only have a 5 month old baby, i quite like the idea of being close to the beach. Can anyone give me any info on the Tanjong Rhu area?
I have a scooter and am not sure if it's worth bringing it over with me. Are bikes as expensive to tax and insure as cars?
How expensive is it really to get a car over there? I've heard it's ridiculous and cheaper to lease?
Thanks for any info...greatly appreciated.
Regards
Colette

internet food shopping does exist. no sky. you get cable tv or streaming from starhub and singtel. you not look into slingbox yet? east coast would be the a nice place with easy access to the beach. most places in singapore are good for families. dont bring your scooter over. not worth the hassle. lots of paper work, etc. bikes are cheaper than car to own and run. a nissan micra in singapore is equivalent to maybe a bmw 5 series in UK.
