Hi Angelica,
in case of trouble you must be able to swim back to the beach. Otherwise you have to kite in shallow beaches.

Angelica, you can kite without being able to swim. Even with a vest it will be alot of work and dangerous. I wouldnt do it. Unless its at a knee deep lagoon. Theres a school in phuket that teaches in a knee deep lagoon i think.

Hi People,

I just arrived to Singapore looking for a place & company to surf & buy new gear. Would love to learn more about surfing in this area.

Thanks and best,

Kitesurf friends in Singapore

Post by maneshba » Wed, 17 Dec 2008 11:08 pm

Hi!
Are there still kitesurfers around in Singapore? We tried to meet several times in September but the wind was not on our side ...
Looks like now is coming back though, anybody interested in meeting this w/e on the East Coast?
Cheers,
Barbara

kitesurfing

Post by rtharries » Sat, 20 Dec 2008 12:26 am

Hi, just returned to Singapore with a new 12m but don't know that much about what I'm doing after only a couple of hours of lessons. Good to hear there are other people here and would love to hook up this weekend. Where and when? (was going to go by myself anyway!), Ross (text 96633435)

Sorry have been busy packing this w/e and didn't have time to kitesurf, did you go alone? Let's catch up when I'm back in Singapore mid of January...
You have fun in the meantime and Merry Christmas!

Count me in

Post by Daniel2810 » Thu, 25 Dec 2008 11:16 am

Hey guys,

I've been here for over a year now and my kite course was even longer ago. Count me in if you go kite surfing in Singapore. If you're planning a trip in the region let me know too.

Where in SG is it btw possible to kite surf?

Cheers,

Dan
