Hi, I am looking for a location that has cheap beer, ex. less than $70 per case.
I was referred to Pacific Beverages and they have a good promotion of $55/case of Stella but this is for cash and carry and I do not have a car and would be forced to take a taxi there and as such it would demisinish the savings. Ex. $18 taxi ride makes each case work out to be $64 but their normal price is $80 per case!
Thus, does anyone know of a good place for ordering/buying but it either has to deliver or have prices which will help offset a cab ride. I live near Dhoby Ghaut.
Even a place which has frequent sales would work as well.

I just had the suggestion from a friend and I went to their website to see the price. Their website also delivers but I do not believe at that price.

have you tried carrefour (since you're close to douby ghaut?) they sometimes have specials on beer and do free delivery for over $150 (could stock up on other supplies to save $$).

I usually pick up a couple of cases of San Miguel, at least they're the ones from the Philippines and don't taste as bad as other versions.
Chang & the other cheap ones can be under $10 for 6 these days at the supermarkets. Can be, but usually are just under $11 i think.

Hi Justin - not sure how much help this is for you...
Our local Cold Storage (supermarket) has weekly specials on beers and wine. These specials apply to both their store and also online, however I have noticed that the beer special locally here is sometimes different than the special online. However, the online stuff does offer delivery for a pretty reasonable price (I registered but as our local CS is close I haven't needed to use the online store as yet).
Also, C4 (as mentioned in another good posting by cbvasi) and CS do offer delivery if you buy in store.
This weeks specials are Corona 6-packs for 18.95. So multiplied by 4, gives you 75.80, plus delivery - which I think if you order over a certain amount is free - but check the stores websites for details.
I'm suggesting this as if you wanted to combine it with a weekly/fortnightly shopping list it might work out for you?
HTH, P

I had posted that company on the original post. Hence, I was looking for an alternate. They are good but have a few issues with me. First, the deal is for cash and carry only - I do not have a car. Second, you must order at least two cases and it must be at least a day in advance - I do not really want to store that much beer.
Thus, I am looking for a good place for ordering/buying but it either has to deliver or have prices which will help offset a cab ride. I live near Dhoby Ghaut.
Even a place which has frequent sales would work as well.

You have it the wrong way round, the most you can buy is two cases at a time. Means, one case or two only.

There is a beer distributor near where I live. They sell Carlsburg and a few others but Carlsburg is the cheapest I believe. You have to buy it by the case. It is 58 per case. It is about a 7 minute walk from the Tiong Bahru MRT, on Moh Guan Terrace in the Old Tiong Bahru Conservatory area. Worth a trip just for the food there. The Tiong Bahru market is famous for it's hawker food and you get to see what Singapore use to be like.

$18 taxi ride
Dhoby Ghaut isn't very far from where that company is located. Just catch the MRT there, and a cab back. Shouldn't cost more than $8 or so I think.
