Cote D'Azur is a national security area we dont know about? The couple are guests with an agent acting on behave of a Cote D'Azur unit OWNER! If the security did his job the situation probably would not have escalated. They could at the very least escort the 3 of them to the apartment as a compromise. Yeah I know its not in their job description and if I were to follow my "job description" to the Tee I'd be out of business a long time ago.

We dont know whos account is accurate but the one thing in common is the guard did not act professionally. The chief of security could have been more tactful. Reminds me of the case where an eurpoean man was about to buy a $2500 suit on scotts road and the sales girl did not let him charge his phone in the store for an emergency call.

All the same if it isn't his or her job then that is just too bad, besides there may well be good reason more than one is required on the gate. In addition being separated from the team could live him vulnerable in case of any possible confrontation.

well, i spent the last 30 mins or so going thru this thread - very enlightning, gotta say forks and rnt come out of it pretty well, I have witnessed some rather strong posted reactions to newbies here, but overall, I like this forum and always try to read the postings without being too sensitive, it really is a poor way to communicate feelings and it is very dangerous to assume that you are reading the post the same way it was intended to be read. But the board can be fun, very informative, very helpfull and has a variety of personalities - this thread in particular highlights some of them - but I have eye strain now and need to go back to some real work

Someone posts a problem or talks about something that has happended to them eg in the case of the coule who turned up to view an apartment and they seem to be open to bitching and riducule.

Some comments are funny but there are others which I think are a bit unfriendly. Is that just me being soft?
