Wasting your time, the issue has been done to death in this section, it has also been mentioned more than once that they take your height several times.

i think for walk-ins, you can try and request to touch the red line. i tried, and managed to get pass it.

There has been a lot of discussion and argument about this issue on this board; while some claim to have been allowed through despite being below regulation height, others claim to have been rejected for being as little as 0.5 cm too short. I don't know what exactly goes on but you can be sure if there is, as is the usual case, there are more than a sufficient number of applicants the company will adhere strictly to the normal criteria.

There are exceptional cases, for instance like my batchgirl.

But they are on the case to case basis so you wouldn't know if you fall into their category.

Ode wrote:Hello M,
Can i ask how your that particular batch girl got into SIA with height <158cm? Did she do a walk-in or write in? I do not like those high class, haughty, pretty young ladies who are suppose to take height at the walk-ins. I doubt they'll let me try for the touch line. Depressing... Maybe i shld move on with my life and concentrate on my current job...
Basically i do have a friend who is shorter than 158cm already in SQ and personally sometimes i will be 156cm and sometimes 161cm from diffrent airlines interview for height measurement. From my experience, SQ will also allow you to tip toe to reach the point if your height is not far from the required height.
