Anyone ever install screens?

Post by ferrisld » Sat, 02 Aug 2008 10:19 pm

Coming from Canada I'm used to having screens on my windows. Has anyone ever gotten them installed in their apt/condo? I know bugs won't kill me (well, maybe dengue) but if it's not expensive, I might look into it.

Thanks!

In the condo where we used to live, some ground floor units had custom-made grills with wooden frames at the back as there was lots of greenery there and a bit of a mozzie issue. You would probably have to check with the condo management as some condos have restrictions on any visible changes to the outside appearance of the apartments. There's a company which makes very neat magnetic screens which just snap on to the inside of metal window frames and are hardly visible from outside - can't remember the name but you should find them with a quick search.

Haha, I always had the same queston. In the California, almost every window has screens and in California, we hardly had any mosquitos. I am so surpised that hardly anybody have them here in Singapore. Anybody know why?

And the funny thi is that instead of screens they have bars on the windows eventhough they are 20 floors up.
