Please help....Need a place to watch Sports tonight!!!

Post by PaulHerring3 » Fri, 01 Aug 2008 5:33 pm

Hello all,

I am brand new here. Tonight the USA is playing against Lithuania in a Pre Olympic Basketball game...It is being shown on ESPN 2 in the states...I know that there are no ESPN Zones here, but is there anything like it? Any place I could go that would have big TV's and be showing sports, that could be showing basketball? Maybe on orchard or the boat keys?

There has to be a big place like an ESPN Zone where people can go to watch sports....

Thank you so much for all your help!

Paul

Hi Paul - try brewwerkz - if you go to our profile (as in sierra2469alpha), and click on My posts, you'll see we had a posting with links to maps for the two pubs - you might then want to give one of those places a call and ask them.

Either that or try your hotel??

Good luck, C & P!

I've checked the television schedules for tonight and they aren't showing that game....

But if you would like to check out a sports bar, you could try Bungy Bar at Clarke Quay, next to that G-Max thing and another place is O'Leary's which is a Boston-themed sports bar and grill....They have an outlet at the Singapore Flyer I believe....

I hope that helps :D

Paul - Karthi has picked up one of our suggestions (thanks Karthi!!!) - Brewwerkz is on the other side of the river, but you can walk over a small bridge - about a 5 minute walk).

HTH

PS. thanks Karthi - always wanted to know the name of that bar!

Thanks you guys for your advice! While I did miss all three games that happened this weekend, we did win all three of them, so thats a good thing!

Thanks for your advice on everything! Even though we couldnt find the game, its great to have a place where you can ask a question and get good replys soon!

Thanks again!
Paul
