Who'll be attending the F1 races and which team supports you

Post by Petales Soufflez! » Thu, 31 Jul 2008 9:28 pm

Being kaypo (busybody) I was just wondering if anybody on the forum would be attending our 1st (night) F1 races come September.

Plus which team do you support and why (hmm sounding like one of those comprehension questions at school).

Have you bought any of the F1 souvenirs and will you deck yourself out to support your team(s)?

It was one of the deciding factors to our relocation!

No...really!

I usually support the underdogs and love it when one of the lower budget teams does well.

I don't do branded clothing but may buy a flag.

I'm not going to the race, but I wished I could....

I watch F1 quite regularly and I root for BMW-Williams, ever since the days of Juan Pablo Montoya in 2002 and Ralf Schumacher in 2003....

Go Nico Rosberg!!!!

I would love to go, but I guess I'll just have to watch it on the tube as I can't justify those kind of prices....... (on local salary not expat any more). :P

I was just wondering what the F1 races mean to Singapore since we're going quite all out to host them. Having them at night certainly will allow us to beat the heat, though it wouldn't change the fact that you still won't get to see anything haha. The cars move too quickly and it's very noisy...

I know the banks and MNCs are having a good time finally having an event to invite their important clients to. Actually in most of the other races, if you don't get Paddock seats and get to rub shoulders with the VIPs, it's not alot of fun. Plus there is usually nothing to eat. Though maybe Singapore being Singapore things will be different here. :D

Myself I'm happy that this year BMW and a few of the smaller teams seem to be doing better than last year. Makes it more exciting. Though since one of the big teams is buttering our bread of course we have to support it.

We won't be able to attend the Singapore races as the children start school in September, but I'll be sending my family there. That'll spice up their boring lives a little and give them something to talk about in the heartlands.

Vive la Scuderia!

Wow Durain that is a blast from the past...one of my fave drivers used to be with JPS Lotus. Long time ago now, Elio de Angelis (RIP) along with so many others...Senna, Andretti, Watson, Hill (snr), Nige and so many more. Used to have a 1/8 scale model I made, unfortunately had to be abandoned in one of many moves...nice memories...thanks.

This year? Hmmm, don't support teams I like drivers, Raikkonen, Rosberg, Alonso, Heidfeld, Kubica, Kovalainen and of course Webber. Can't wait for the week of the 28th.
