how much do ppl need to earn to get a condo of 400-600k ?

Discuss about where to live, renting a property, tenancy issues, property trend and property investment in Singapore.

Don't look down on 5-room HDB flats. Some of them are selling at super high prices, due to the excellent location.

Do you have any idea how much 5-room HDB flats in say Ghim Moh/Queenstown/Strathmore Ave cost?

Let me show you some figures from the HDB website:

These are all 5 room flats:

bruinbear wrote:You definitely can get condos in the $500K to $600K range today. But of course these will tend to be smaller units.

The best place to check recent caveats lodged is the URA website at

http://www.ura.gov.sg/realEstateWeb/rea ... tSearch.do

Try to do a search for projects starting with Hillview. Some results from Hillview Regency:

HILLVIEW REGENCY BUKIT BATOK EAST AVENUE 2 condominium 590,000(price) 904 (unit size in sq feet) 653 (price per sq feet) Jul-08 (caveat lodged date)

HILLVIEW REGENCY BUKIT BATOK EAST AVENUE 2 condominium 575,000 904 636 Jun-08

HILLVIEW REGENCY BUKIT BATOK EAST AVENUE 2 Condominium 600,000 904 664 Jun-08
theres something wrong with the link.

Candy, I grew up 1st in a rented 3-room flat in Toa Payoh and then in a bought 4-room flat in Lorong Ah Soo. I've always cherished the memories I have even of the dark, slimy, crowded 1st flat - because I've shared it with people I love. And I still love the old plastic bag-filled 4-room flat my parents still live in, I stay there each time I return home and I'm lucky my parents didn't throw out all my rubbish, I prefer staying there than in a hotel with pool, gym etc though I can certainly afford it now.

Mom always tells us that it doesn't matter if we live in a pig sty as long as we own it. At your age, don't you think that you have better things to worry about than where you live in? Pestering your parents for a condo is like telling them you find them wanting. If your flat is dark, maybe you should concentrate on brightening it - a new coat of paint, lighting change, new interior design - according to your budget, of course. And you'll certainly not be too young to contribute in some way.

I don't have a condo either. Should have sent my dad to court for spending all his money on food and holidays instead of buying that terraced house that he could have bought 30 years ago. :P
Je pense donc je suis. Le reste du temps, je ne suis qu'une fleur.

Yeah sure, the english is Singlish used in Chatrooms..so what?

And another yeah...yes there are condos for about 500+k and they are in the heartlands, not CBD of course...

just my 2 cents...
No wasn't the Singlish at all. but the text appears to be written in a different format, then cut and pasted into this forum. Rather than written directly into the post. You can see this because the sentences are broken, rather than continuous like your own text, but maybe you didn't notice.

It can also happens if you type the message first in word, and cut and pasted into a forum or hotmail message, it's to do with the page settings and tabulator stops.

If i'm not wrong. Just to show you what i mean, I'll redo it, then read.
erms hello ppl. i am from singapore and i would like to find out
how much is needed for my parents to earn in a month in order to buy a condo worth about 400k - 600k , reply mi if you know. because i really wish to move to a condo, instead of tis boring 5 room hdb flat
thanks . xD
You see I cut and pasted it too, and still the first sentence is still broken and the rest is fine because. but not like the first posting because all the lines are broken. Although she has cut it out now, but you can still see it in my previous post.
whats the matter with you seriously.
i just wanted to make my paragraph look neater.
its my style of typing, any problem with that?
don't be skeptical on the way i type my sentences.
