Just wondering if there was such thing as council tax in Singapore as tenants. Apart from the usual household bills and air con maintenance, is there anything else.
There is an annual property Tax which the legal owner of the property is liable to pay for. This should be already factored into the monthly agreed rental as well as any service charges. If the LL tries to add this on top of the agreed rental I'd walk away as it's probably a good indication of what the LL will be like in the future.
You will find charges for water consumed (it's metered), a "wc" tax based on the number of bathrooms your place has and a rubbish collection charge are itemised and collected together with your electricity power bill.
