I've heard some good things about JetStar, and they do fly to HK.

The best bit is picking your seat during the online booking so it means there's none of this mad scramble for the plane once the doors open. This is what everybody still complains about the most with regards other carriers.

I'm with HK203 - as ex tech-crew of a major Aus airline, I wouldn't recommend Adam Air (nor a number of others). JET* seem to be OK, though. Never had any problems with SilkAir although they aren't a true LCC.

Have flown Tiger, Jetstar and that other one, Air Asia(?). All about the same, I think. Their flight times are the hardest part of the trip. The flights are so short the service/meal, etc. just doesn't matter. Be careful though, they don't all fly out of the Budget terminal.

JetStar seems ok. I would recommend NOT using Air Asia unless you enjoy last minute delays, and some very long ones at that.

We got stuck in Phuket a couple of weeks ago when they closed the airport. Tiger who we flew there with didn't want to know, nor did they make any effort to contact us or reschedule our flights, even though they take all your details when you book.
We ended up driving for 4 hours, then getting a flight to Bangkok with Air Asia, then another one again with Air Asia back to Singapore. Air Asia was great, Tiger wont get my money again unless I have no choice. They need to learn a lesson in customer service. I know it's a LCC but we are still customers !

That is one of the reason why I would pay more to get a better service...
