Copyright Law

Post by Naughty Fairy » Sat, 19 Jul 2008 1:03 pm

Hi there!

I would like to seek your advice on the copyright law in Singapore. Is it possible to bring some burned CDs into Singapore?

In Bangkok, where I'm from, selling pirate VCDs or using them for commercial purpose is illegal, but buying them is ok (funny, I know). And in reality, you can find those CDs in many shopping streets. However, I heard that Singapore law is very strong....

Those CDs are TOEFL and GMAT interactive test programs, maybe I should just buy new ones. Are they expensive there? In BKK, it costs about S$50 each, and I got loads of them - -"

Thanks for any advice.
Anne

Ignorance of the law in Singapore is not bliss! You don't have to be told it's illegal, you know it's illegal  You naughty fairy you.

Definitely not! nothing is hidden between the line there in my question. I just asked out of my naivety. AS copyright law in my country is not very strong.

Anyway, who will advertise TOEFL and GMAT practice programs in Expat forum? don't think you guys need that

Thanks for the advice, though
