American/Canadian guy needed for TV hosting for travel show

Post by sleepcake » Fri, 18 Jul 2008 12:25 pm

Hey everyone,

I'm currently writing and researching a programme for Channel NewsAsia and it's a travel show that goes around different countries in Asia to explore the etiquette and mannerisms of people in different countries. basically it's a show to guide viewers as to what cultural shocks they can look out for whilst doing business trips to another country.

We are looking for a host, white, male mid-30s preferably speaks well in front of the camera, isn't camera shy and has a Kanookian (ok,. ok Canadian)/american accent to play our business guy host, yet he has to be witty like Ian Wright and be able to ad-lib.

Must also be pleasant looking and available to shoot for the next few months.

Perks?

You get to travel and be a star on regional television.

It will be a miracle if you find someone to meet that criteria!

Probably best to find a Brit who can do an American accent!

My American accent normally ends up sounding like a Welsh Indian after 8 pints of Stella!

Not only is he an American, he has 20 years of Part-time acting experience in SBC/TCS/Media Corp & Media Works (now back under Media Corp) and has been in over 100 different Mandarin Drama Serials including Zoe's first series in a leading role (Bobo in Pretty Faces if anybody else here goes back that far).

Only problem is he no longer can pull off the 30's thing (late 40's can) as he's looking at 61 in a few months. Oh well......
