Hmmmm... what about the private security companies?

The bigger ones include names like Certis Cisco.

Sorry, if your uncle has not developed some sort of network with law enforcement or army networks then he is up sh*t creek without a paddle. Hope I don't sound negative... one more Indian trying to get a job.

Security Guard sounds like it might be right up his alley. Pay's not too bad, around S$1200/mo if its a big well known company. He could also work a day job as well that way......

it is not about the money....he has had a distinguished and a decorated career and money is not the concern....he does not want to sit at home doing nothing thats why he is thinking of options....n when i said security agencies, i didnt mean that he should be a security guard, i was thinking of something in terms of a managing/administrative role in the company....after retiring as a COLONEL in the indian army i dont think being a security guard on night duty is the profile he would be interested in....

Blackwater, Total Solutions, Control Risks Group, to name but three?

Someone with his experience would be well and truly hired.

Moral issues aside, of course.

I am told there are quite a number of private security companies in Singapore ranging from the big ones like Certis Cisco to many other small ones.

I am not familiar with the industry but from personal observations many of the guards hired by these security companies are also foreign talents, many from India. So perhaps your Uncle would be considered as a candidate for some management position.

I think Google is your best friend.
