We have been told that SG will only allow us to bring in minimum food .ie ONE packet of teabags, one packet of everything.
This is my biggest shock if it is true.
Can anyone please help me, I need to know if certain shippers have restrictions and others are better. I am based in London.

Well I dont know what the law or regulations are, but I can share what happened to me. I relocated from Adelaide.
Our removalists advised that they could only take non-perishable goods, and only packages that were still unopened. We ended up bringing most of our pantry, ~20kg box with a large amount of tinned produce, packaged dry goods etc. We had a 2x"slabs" of tinned tomatoes, at least 24 cans. Perhaps we were in breach? But that was the advise we got from the Movers... Good luck.

I checked with the shipping company I'm using (and within the Terms and Conditions) and as long as it can be deemed as for personal use it's ok.
To be honest, you don't really have to go over the top and ship over a load of food as you can get virtually everything in Singapore. Ok it might take a bit of time to find your way around but it doesn't take long.
