Pipe Leakage in HDB

Post by vaishnava_janato » Mon, 14 Jul 2008 4:12 pm

Dear All

I've just newly joined the forum and see its a great platform to interact!

Well, am starting with a problem we just noticed this weekend. We bought this HDB unit a year ago and completely renovated with wiring, tiling, fittings, etc. My husband noticed this Saturday that the pipes that run in the bathroom are leaking from the unit above us and water seems to have seeped upto 20cms around the pipes. The residents above our unit are not so friendly and hence we dare not venture remarking anything to them. Is there a procedure to register the case with HDB? Or i dont mind bringing in our contractor to fix up our ceiling, but that wouldnt solve the problem if its the floor of the unit above that is leaking and not the pipes. Am just not sure whats causing it. Any advice please?

you can phone your HDB "super" of your block to come and check out the leakage, I believe if u've done renovation you should have his contact, or just call the main line they will advise his number to you, then he'll notify your neighbours

Thank you, Freecat.

My husband called HDB and they promised to visit tomorrow.
