Need advice on areas to live

Post by SDMom » Thu, 10 Jul 2008 9:28 pm

We just found out we are moving next month to Singapore and are very excited. I would appreciate advice on places to live. Our children will attend the Singapore American School and/or the IWC. Friends have recommended districts 9 or 10, of Salterno(?) located on the old British Military base. We want to be near places, activities, people that are easy to get to. My children are 10, 8, and 6 and am not worried about their commute to school. Any advice? Thank you in advance.

welcome to singapore,

Does your kids have the place in the singapore american school yet?,
there is a waiting list of about 600+ for a place in the school.

Maybe you should get a place near the singapore american school,
based on the few reasons from my understanding

1.there is an extensive American expat community near the school.
2.Your kids can take a scroll home After School Activities like the EASA and SACAC
2.You can avoid peak hour traffic sending them to and from school
3.save on fuel price.

Hope this info is helpful
