How long till you get a doctors appointment?

Post by bub » Mon, 07 Jul 2008 6:10 pm

Hi all,

We've been getting different waiting times for doctors appointments, and I was wondering what would be the average, lets say for a family doctor and for an obgyn?

I mean the number of days till your appointment, not how long you wait once you're there.

I would say that for the family doctor it would be more or less the same day, where as the obgyn could take a few weeks. Different specialists also vary, from the same day till a month later, but those are more "unique" needs than the average health issues.

Thanks!

For a family doctor, if you are referring to a General Physician (GP) with his own private clinic, then you can just see the doctor within an hour usually, assuming the clinic is open.

For specialists, it depends.
