Cost picture of delivery in TMC

Post by yanagi » Mon, 07 Jul 2008 1:09 pm

Anyone has recent experience of giving birth in TMC? I am wondering the package fee of Dr Tan Wee Khin. Do heard she is very experienced and kind, but no sure how much she will charge.

and what will be the other fees need to pay in TMC, lets say a single bed room and a normal delivery as the example.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks.

Anyone got experience in taking Dr. W. K. Tan's package in TMC before. We were told by nurse her package is 2.6k+. However, searching around found people are taking some package around 1.xK. Not sure whether ours is regular or not.

Hello -- not sure if this is much help, but the delivery fees for my TMC gynae (Dr. Paul Tseng) is $1.5k... I'm not sure if that's regular or not either.

Also, I'm not sure if you're talking about delivery or package fees for antenatal appointments. We didn't take an antenatal package with him because I started with him more than half way through pregnancy and it wouldn't be worth it so I can't give a reference to that price, sorry :(

I would though encourage you to do the FBI/SBI program with TMC if you're uninsured for maternity expenses like us, and if your gynae participates -- it's $100 off your room if it's 1-bed and 5% off your doc's fees if they participate, along with a bunch of coupons and samples and some other benefits on like gynae appointments that I haven't really looked into since we're not there yet. It's $148 to join for 2 years unless you're 28+ weeks, then it's $188. For us just the room and doctor discounts made it worth it ($175 savings).

The OBGYN delivery fee is in addition to the hospital fee (room & board). You would also need to calculate the pediatrician fee and and anesthesiologist if you should elect to have an epidural for an accurate cost of total delivery.
