By exhaustion, I mean riding on the road feeling tired, more proned to accident. If I take public transport, I can get some rest during the journey.

I did a spreadsheet to track my expenses, and transportation comes to about $135 per month for commuting back and forth based on my current mode of commuting.

The bad thing about my current plan is I'm sacrificing time. It will be for short-term to build up my warchest for the next bubble

Me and my fiancee have EP and LTVP to work and stay in Spore. However we've been looking at renting a condo in JB due to lower cost than in Spore.

I have a couple of questions on this that you guys may be able to help us with:

Is it possible to live in JB only with MACS: we would be commuting to Spore almost everyday, but sometimes not so often since I can work from home.

When entering Malaysia, and the officer asks why do you travel so often there, what is the best answer for that?

Can we lose our EP and LTVP in Spore because we are not living there?

All real estate agents in JB tell you that with your passport and EP copy you can rent there. How about getting a cellphone, internet, etc?

No one I know who used to do this is doing it anymore except Malaysians coming in. The traffic and queues are too unpredictable.

Indeed, it is ending, and it looks like a mess for the more than 500,000 Singaporeans will be affected. No plans to replace it with anything.

When I was still flying to KL every week, there were also plans to put MACS into KLIA for automated passport processing for Singapore residents. Never got implemented before I left.

Bummer. The Macs queue was always free-flow, regardless of the size of the crowds. Well, up until they changed the application location to Orchard Road.
