as long as the Brits don't come to New York and order a pack of fags from room service they will be okay. Unless of course they are looking for the US version of fags (okay, not really PC but a fact nonetheless.)

This reminds me of a Jasper Carrott video I saw many years ago when he was in the US and comparing the British with the Americans. He mentioned about the difference between the use of the word "honk", in the UK (according to Jasper) it means to vomit. So he was quite amused when he saw the bumper stickers in the US "honk if you're horny", etc.

T'would seem that Sir Humphry Davy is British and Noah Webster only changed the spellings.

With a name like Humphry, I guess he is one Brit who may ask the hotel receptionist in NYC for a couple of fags and the price of a couple of faggots, without the chips and peas

He appeared to be a heavy sniffer in his time and died quite young, laughing all the way to the grave, with his addiction of laughing gas
