Smoking bothers non-smokers
Not smoking cannot bother smokers
I think you have that a teeny bit wrong there Cutiebutie, not smoking certainly does bother smokers, they nearly go up the wall if they can't.

Sigh, micknlea, you have something I can only aspire to... gentle humour. Good one!

I heard people were picking on smokers somewhere around these parts...
Shame on you!
We have the right to smoke in places of our partners choosing! Like, outside, on the balcony, this morning, in what seemed to be 50 knot winds.
Then one of our bamboo plants blew over on me. It put my ciggie out. I felt bad the rest of the day. Poor cigarette. At least it was cremated.
Best go and check on the plant at some stage, I guess...

Best not, just pretend nothing happened. Otherwise someone's gonna go "see, told you smoking kills"

getting back to the cylcing....i only saw one cyclist on the footpath today - seemed to be trying to be careful, but he was going at such a low speed that he kept wobbling everywhere!

Better that he is wobbling all over the footpath rather than on the road in traffic.

He was deliberately going slow on his bike because he knew he was on the footpath. Of course, this is better than going fast on the footpath, but still dangerous to pedestrians. From his point of view, it is of course better than wobbling all over the road - however, most would not usually ride at such a low speed on the road.
In my opinion, if people are wobbling all over the pavement due to trying to be "slow and careful" then they might as well just get off and walk with the bike - especially if its a narrow pavement.

Ha ha, you obviously haven't seen some of the cyclists here on the road then. How do you know he was doing this because he was on the pavement? It could just be the way he normally rides.
I was just joking on the other post but seriously, the wobbly bit isn't just restricted to the pavements, it is on the roads too. I met up with one on Grange Road (not exactly a quiet backstreet) and that is exactly what he was doing..wobbling all over the place and managing to virtually stop two lanes of traffic as a result mid afternoon. Of course he just kept on wobbling away not realising the havoc he was causing all around him. This wasn't a one off either, wobbly cyclists abound here.
