I used to play as a semi pro but that was 5-6 years ago and haven't played a single game since. I would be interested. Where do you live and when will you be able to play?
Me, fail English?
But nooo, that's unpossible....

Some of the members here and I used to play at China One in Clark Quay.
I left Singapore last year and just came back so not sure if the place is still there.
It's a bar with old furniture and quite nice art works around.
Please post here if a pool rendezvous will be held, I'd like to join too and hope to even bring some of these old timers.

We went to China One to shoot some pool last weekend - both Friday and Sat. Lovely tables but crazy prices - $ 4 per game - need to find a place where they charge by the hour. Any suggestions - anybody wants to join ?

Ram08 et. al.,

There's a small bar in Newton near where we live - they have $30 jugs and a pool table. Full of locals when we walk past it. Want me to check it out and post the details?

Mr. P

Its fine to check it out - thanks
However with just 1 pool table you end up fighting for space - we could be better off looking for a place with a few tables so we could block one and play continuosly amongst us.

What do you think ? Nevertheless I will join should you want to gather at Newton

I agree with Ram08. I'm sorry I am not very familiar with pool places in Singapore at all but would like to join if Newton is the place to be. I vaguely remember a place near Hard Rock Cafe many years ago with plenty of pool tables but do not know if that still exists nor how much it costs. does anyone know?

OK gang - Dong Ba pub - get the MRT to Novena or a taxi to United Square taxi stand - from the taxi stand walk up to the corner of Newton Rd and Kuang Jong Rd. - You cannot miss the place. It's in the Goldhill Plaza building - street level.

It's busy on FRI and SAT nights - lots of local people. Never seen an expat there - so it's my kind of place (and yes, I am an expat!)...

Let me know a night (apart from tomorrow [TUE]) and I'll join you. Cheers, Mr. P.

Guys - I apologize I cant make it on weekdays - my job requires me to work with US team members so most of the weekdays I end up having conference calls at night here (which is day in US) - thats globalization for you :-)

Fri/Sat or Sun is ok with me - let me know. Hope you guys have fun catching up on weekdays
