Whats happening to BBC Entertainment?

Post by rstevenson » Thu, 26 Jun 2008 6:20 pm

Hey, I just received a letter from StarHub stating its new packages and it does not include BBC Entertainment...

Does anyone know if the channel is being taken off air for good?

BBC Entertainment is one of the few cable channels I watch – the rest do not cater to the expats living here.......

Does anyone have any idea what’s going to happen?

Alarming statement on Starhub's website:-

*BBC Entertainment will cease transmission from 31 August 2008.

Anyone know any more?

YAY - back on

It was turned back on this morning (TUE).

When I rang FartHub they said they were still "negotiating" and it could take up to 3 months. Just goes to show how well they do business...NOT.

I'd give them a call on 1630 to double-check, though!!

They are all over the place at the moment!

Word of warning on their mobile services - if you travel a lot, check the destinations where they have an agreement with a local carrier - if they don't you pay EXHORBINANT rates (try $SGD6.00 per minute from Oman!!)

If you were on the orignal plan then you should be getting it.

It's called the Upsize for original subscribers.

Call them on 1633 - and hopefully you will be moved to a new plan.

Zone Reality is still shot.

Boffe -

"OFFICIAL" word from *artHub is that the "contract is under negotiation" - much like BBCE was.. Well, that was this morning. Who knows - I haven't even found any official thing about BBCE being back online.

Honestly, F*rtHub's customer care is just that - small letter c.

Sorry I cannot shed some light on that dark space for you! If I hear anything (LAUGH!!!!) from them, I'll certainly repost.

Cheers/P
